Queen Me! is a sub-division of Netzach Outreach which caters to teenage girls. The members get together twice a week to discuss and work through the challenges that Jewish young ladies face on a daily basis. The groups are run by caring and perceptive mentors who know how to guide the girls on the path of the Torah – the wisdom of the ages. With gentle instruction, the mentors help the girls walk in the ways of their Jewish ancestors and learn to deal with modern life in accordance with ancient teachings.
Once a week the Queen Me! girls meet in a restaurant, while the second group of the week is in a more formalized setting. On the restaurant night, the girls are allowed to order what they want for dinner so that they can enjoy food for their stomach at the same time that they get stimulating food for thought.
Participants in Queen Me! all concur that their lives are enriched by
- Their relationships with their peers
- Their relationships with the mentors
- Their newfound abilities to deal with ‘girl issues’ and all sorts of challenges
- Their exposure to the wisdom of their Jewish Heritage
