Netzach Apprentice is a project of Netzach Outreach which caters to middle-school age boys (12, 13, and 14 years old). The prime objective is to enable the members to access, through a series of after-school programs, the wealth that Judaism has to offer.

Netzach Apprentice has classes in six different locations throughout Queens, NY. Dedicated and learned teachers join the students in informal settings to open the boys up to a world of Torah knowledge and thought that they never experienced before. With small mentor-to-pupil ratios, the Netzach boys learn about

  • What Shabbat is – and why it’s every Jew’s favorite day
  • What are the Jewish holidays, why and how do we celebrate them – and what makes them so amazing
  • How to read Hebrew – the language of our holy Torah
  • How to pray – and why it’s important
  • What the Torah says – and why it’s relevant to modern-day life

Each location has its own schedule which caters to its members, and generally meets 2-3 times a week. Classes run for 1 hour long, with 40 minutes of study followed by a free meal (lunch or dinner – depending on the time of year.)

Those who join the learning programs also get to join Netzach Apprentice weekly basketball games and go on the trips and Shabbatons that Netzach makes throughout the year.
